The story you need to read, if you can't forget your past.

No tears mingled with fear, a life full of unending bliss. I was a prince in my father's home. A kingdom of love fenced with glory and peace. This was my home, the place where I had all that I need. I couldn't ask for more because I had more than  I could ask. Servants and slaves run my course and kings and princes danced to my songs, a life full of joy wrapped in my father's love.

This Palace bounded with salvation kept me within its wall of peace but this was too small for me cos I want to see the world outside. I thought I needed independence free to lead my course without the walls that keep me in honor and splendor. I said to myself I want to live a free life, Yes! A life free from the Father's eye little did I know it was the father's love, beauty and, grace that covers me.

I took the courage, I let my father in on my opinion on what freedom should be, I demanded my share of his goodies, and took my journey out of the wonderland of glory, peace, and joy and I thought I had it all.

Before landing my feet outdoor my friends who enticed me were waiting for me. We took the voyage of adventures. We took all we could touch, taste all that our soul desired. We got all we wanted but lost all that we needed.

Now hungry poor and wretched scarcely could find a meal.

I was haunted by one thought. Oh!  what love and peace I left behind to come to this land of hopelessness.

Painful tears of regret made life so miserable I know I had it all but I've lost all in my curiosity to enjoy what's outside the garden of love.

Now, I can't go back home no way! I have split on my father's face, disregarded his unfailing love and grace. I have taken for granted his gentleness and patience, I truly don't deserve forgiveness and can't earn it again because he has done it on and on again.

My depravity consumed me and the uncertainty of my future made my world a hell on earth

This is where  I've found myself. Every Billboard reminds me of home but I'm sure I've gone too far to go back home

“I don't know who's this but this story looks like mine" I guess that's what you are thinking.

“I dug this grave I'm in and I've failed the the one that trusted me, I've been told the story of forgiveness but how can I forgive myself. Even if I believe in forgiveness what about the memory of failures that kept hunting me, what about the consequences of my wrong decisions"

Stop beating yourself on the head

Cos the love of God is bigger than you know

This is a true story told from the master's lips with all His authority.

“The Prodigal sons"

When you have gone wrong God love pays for your forgiveness but it is your duty to forget what God has forgiven.

You asked“ what about the consequences"

The prodigal son has no change of cloth, the one he had on him has turned to rag, he has no home nor inheritance, he has lost his right has a son in his father's house.

These are all consequences of his sins but immediately he dared to come home and obtain forgiveness he needs not worry about all of these because the Father clothed him with the best robe, killed the fatted cow for him, and gave him His ring to seal his sonship.

"Too good to be true or it is just a mere story" you concluded

Yes! It remains a mere story until you dare to believe. And you have to believe now!

 hear the words of Jesus!

John 6:37 KJV

All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

Matthew 9:13 KJV

But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Mark 2:17 KJV

When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Luke 15:7 KJV

I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

Luke 15:10 KJV

Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

These are the infallible word from the immortal lips of Jesus. What will you do with them? Stay there and keep blaming yourself or you take a leap of faith and obtain forgiveness.

Even this:

Matthew 18:21-22 KJV

Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? [22] Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

Imagine this: if God asked us to forgive this much, how much do you think He forgives? Take that as your homework!

From the epistles

Hebrews 9:12 KJV

Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

Ephesians 1:7 KJV

In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Colossians 1:14 KJV

In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

Romans 4:5-8 KJV

But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. [6] Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, [7] Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. [8] Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

To crown it all

1 John 1:9 KJV

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

1 John 2:1-2 KJV

My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: [2] And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

You have no excuse to remain outside of God's love.

Come home God is not against you.

Change your mind and receive forgiveness today and start living again.
